Next Step College Scholars supports motivated students throughout the college application process. As a Scholar, you’ll set goals for your junior and senior years of high school, build a college list that fits your academic, social, and financial needs, and share your unique story, interests, and aspirations in your applications. A dedicated college advisor will guide you every step of the way.

Selection Criteria
Maintain a 3.0 + cumulative unweighted GPA
Qualify for free/reduced lunch
Reside in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Hartford, CT or participate in an ACC Partner Program
At least one parent/guardian is committed to involvement in student’s college process
Complete Next Step College Scholars Application
Submit a written recommendation from a teacher, school counselor, or community mentor
